The Greyhound racing industry in Australia is responsible for many thousands of Greyhound deaths every year. This is the personal story of one of those poor dogs, but at least this one had a precious few weeks of normal life at the end.
When I first saw her I was shocked at her thinness and her dry and threadbare coat, but I subsequently learned that these features are normal in racing dogs, who live their whole lives in kennels except for their gruelling training and racing regime.
